Now esries mm x mm x mm, the third-edition Raven is considerably shorter than its predecessors, and the streamlined profile makes it look more like a traditional tower. SilverStone shows off its own liquid cooler, with an all-metal contact plate and mount and gorgeous radiator housing. The standard cooling for this product is done by 2 x mm AP fans on the bottom fan as intake fans and 1 x mm fan on the top panel as exhaust fan. Complementing the finely tuned and engineered interior, the RV03 has Champaign colored trimmings adorning an exterior with aggressive lines yet reserved profile.
Extra large motherboard tray cut-out to enable more access to motherboard backside for swapping CPU cooler backplates. Upscale and aggressive styling with dual-purpose front panel bezels for maximum cooling for silence. In addition to being the best-equipped Raven to date, the RV03 is also the cheapest. It offered excellent cooling thanks to a large bank of mm fans, and it looked sleek and elegant.
Between its creative design, high-quality construction and very reasonable price, the Raven 2 Evolution was, and still is one of the best gaming-orientated computer cases available.

Admittedly, one of my biggest concerns with the rotated motherboard design is the noise being moved out of the top of the enclosure instead of the rear since so many users keep their towers on the floor myself included.
This is clearly a more efficient use of space, and the added room can be largely attributed to a relocated power supply.

Apart from that just above the fans the are 2 holes in the tray for proper cable management. The case arrived with a pretty simple carton box with the name of the product on the front panel and a lot of technical details described on the side and the back panels of the box.
That gives the chassis its upward airflow, but there’s plenty of room to adjust and reconfigure. The case is designed and build to hold the hardware in a slightly different way compared to the standard cases released in the last years from all the brands. Out the box, the RV03 is configured with three default fans; a mm top exhaust and two bottom-mounted mm Air Penetrator intakes.
The two bottom-mounted mm intakes can be swapped for three mm fans, and if you fancy a change in direction, there’s an option to add four mm fans to the front optical bays, a mm rear exhaust, and a mm side fan.

Actually the power cable coming from the electricity network passes beneath the case and is plugged in from the bottom. But the most important reason for this update is to tell you that as a result of this review, SilverStone has now added details about what the foam in the kit is for.

The other main advantage is improved cooling courtesy of the “stack effect,” because top and bottom-mounted fans guide rising heat out of the case. Early in my career with TweakTown, I was asked to review a chassis for SilverStone, and with it being only my fourth go at ravej cases, Sfries remember feeling like I wasn’t covering all that the case had to offer.
Supports eight expansion slots and graphics cards of any length. Eight is the total number of slots in the chassis; the chart was the right thing to follow there. The old adage says “the third time is the charm”, and I certainly was sold on the FT We’ve updated our testing to be even tougher, but the Raven RV02 coped brilliantly with the new kit.
The package is very simple but still tight and strong protecting the product inside. It seems the ball is rolling for SilverStone with the series of thirds. Since restarting our case reviews with the new testing methodology, we haven’t had r03 an enthusiast-class and enthusiast-priced enclosure like the RV03 in house yet, so our comparisons may seem a little bit unfair.
