In fact the only time he cooperatively reads on his own is when he’s choosing from a Frog and Toad book table of contents.. My favorite book as a child was “were the wild things are” My six year old loves curious George and my two year old loves anything with vehicles in it. I read it so many times to my kids that the pages were torn and the cover fell off. My favorite storybooks have always been and will probably always be Winnie the Pooh. I just bought Jay-Cyn’s bicycle print that you featured on here awhile ago for my 10 month old boy’s curtains. I think my favorite book to read to kids that they love, both girls and boys, are fairy tales.

Storyboek Drie by Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Organic Fabrics
My husband, Jason and I designed this collection together, just like Avalon, except Storyboek was all hand drawn first and it took a very long time not only to draw, but then to narrow down the prints, at one point there were more than 20 total! There’s just something sweet and lovely about them that I cannot resist. It’s about a mama who blows her daughter a kiss and the kiss gets away and travels all around and then the little girl catches it.
With two little boys, Cynthia is a true champion of designer boy-friendly fabric. When Monkey gets fussy in the grocery cart, all I have to do is start with, “In an old house that was covered with vines…”.
Either your own or whatever you are sharing with the kids. My mom used to read it to me when I was sick, so it makes my think of sweet Mommy snuggles. I’ve had some great conversations with my children about love as a result of reading this book. He’s loving Frog and Toad. I was always fond of tales that included travels to far away places and when I was five I was a dutch girl for Halloween wearing wooden clogs and all. I love all of Bill Peet’s books. There are some wonderful and classic storybooks but Curious George will always have a special place in my heart.
Man, there are some great book ideas in here! Thanks for a chance to win this fabric. I will have to go with Winnie the Pooh, though…. When I was a child visiting my grandparents I would climb up in my grandfather’s lap while he told me long, elaborate stories involving the epic adventures of three brothers and their only sister my brother’s and I, of course!
Fabric | Lily June Strawberry Girl
I got my little man a stuffed Clifford to hold while I read them. I have an old Alvin and the Chipmunks book from when I was little that I now read to my son. My favorite storybook right now is “Goodnight Moon”.
This fabric is adorable! I have been loving “Will’s Mammoth” It’s out of print but the art is just lovely! Am having a hard time finding a place online that carries an extensive selection though. We read a lot of Dinosaur books now that the boys are old enough to request certain ones. Heck, even my daughter likes it! To enter for the chance to win a yard of Storyboek Whale Watch Shroomtell us your favorite storybook. Did you know that Cynthia of Fabricworm is also the founder of Birch Fabrics?
So sorry about that. Even my boys enjoy hearing about Laura and Mary!
Spa Dot by Michael Miller. The whales are fantastic! My little guy loves it too!
A tale that shows how our imaginations can take us on trips near or far, and reminds us of the beauty that lies just before our eyes, in this case from within a cherry tree.
I love how designns tree takes care of the boy through out all the stages of the boys life.
