The flash backs to the year old’s long life are mn to Forrest Gump’s run-ins with political heavy weights of the 20th df, but not always quite as interesting here. You never know what’s ukt next and the movie keeps up relentless pace, not letting you dwell on the unlikeness of the things happening on screen, which serves the film’s purposes very well. There was always enough intrigue in the story that you will gladly follow the odd Karlssan through his increasingly oddball life. In this near perfect story of an unlikely year-old man, the audience follows Allan Karlsson portrayed wonderfully by Robert Gustafsson as verdseen leaves his old age home to literally go anywhere.
